  • January 2022 to Present – Wilsonart, Fletcher, NC
    Wilsonart is North America’s largest global manufacturer and distributor of high-pressure laminates and other
    engineered composite materials, used in furniture, office and retail space, countertops, worktops and other
    applications.


    Global Commodity Manager- North American Decorative Paper and Saturating Kraft Paper (January 2022 to
    Present)

    Global commodity manager of Decorative paper ($50MM spend)  and Saturating Kraft Paper  ($50MM spend) for Wilsonart North America’s production facilities (Fletcher, NC and Temple, TX). Responsible for managing relationships, commercial terms, and performance evaluations of suppliers of decorative paper and execution of annual procurement plans which are directed by the Vice President of Global Sourcing and Logistics.          

    Achievements

    • 2024-year savings and cost avoidance of $5.15 million dollars.

    • Led sourcing project to shift top items from high-cost supplier to more competitive alternative supplier which yielded savings of $1.3 million dollars and reduced delivery cost and reduced lead times.

    • Project management lead in obtaining design ownership from current suppliers to set up more flexibility in sourcing in future state.

    • Worked with R&D and Design to introduce digital printing options to the Deco Paper arena, opening up new product opportunities for our company.

    • Instrumental in working with R&D to maximize supplier diversity in single sourced kraft markets by opening new global and domestic partnerships.

  • July 2009 to January 2022 – Pactiv Evergreen, Canton, NC
    Pactiv Evergreen is one of North America’s largest fresh food and beverage packaging manufacturers. With over
    13,000 products and 15,000 employees, Pactiv Evergreen aims to protect their customer’s products and brands
    while valuing natural resources.


    Strategic Sourcing Manager- Commodity Chemicals & Energy (January 2019 to January 2022)
    Category manager of Commodity Chemicals ($64MM spend) and Energy ($94MM spend) for Pactiv Evergreen’s
    two production facilities in North America (Canton, NC & Pine Bluff, AR). Responsible for managing relationships,
    commercial terms, and performance evaluations of suppliers of these categories and execution of annual
    procurement plans which are directed by the Chief Procurement Officer.
    Achievements
    - 2020-year savings of $2.3 million dollars vs pre-bid price and $17 million dollars vs budget.
    - Improved payment terms of negotiated spend by an average of 16.25 days in 2020.
    - Performed sourcing activities in coal sourcing, shifting from rail car to truck to drive savings and increase
    security stock ($1.3 million dollars in savings).
    - Sourcing activities to develop secondary suppliers for all materials within purchasing category.
    - Project management for selection of Energy Consultant Group following the events of Winter Storm Uri
    in 2021.


    Buyer - Operations (February 2017 to January 2019)
    Buyer of direct chemicals, pulp, contract services, packaging, and MRO purchases for the Canton and Waynesville
    facilities.
    Achievements
    - Worked with operations teams to manage sourcing strategies (including supplier evaluations, bid
    process, and selection).
    - Leadership role in developing a vendor management program including food safety documentation
    and audits of suppliers for performance and price.
    - Developed and performed mill wide trainings in SAP and Ariba for Canton and Waynesville requestors.
    - Developed and performed P-Card management system to deter and control rogue spending.
    - Mediated and negotiated outcomes when supplier issues caused mill upsets.
    - Member of weekly manufacturing excellence team to learn from mill issues and develop plans to
    prevent from happening again via root cause analysis.
    - Experience with Capital Project purchases for Waynesville and Canton facilities.

    Buyer/Raw Material Scheduler (February 2013 to February 2017)
    Inventory manager responsible for scheduling and tracking all of Canton’s raw materials required for daily
    production. Buying role for Pactiv Evergreen’s Converting facility (Waynesville) added in 2015, with duties that
    included ordering, storeroom assistance, late order tracking, and procure to pay process improvement.
    Achievements
    - No strike outs of material during my four years as inventory manager.
    - Month end closing/inventory activities performed in SAP for finance.
    - Worked directly with production on purchases, including 24-hour weekend duty and holiday coverage.
    - Developed and integrated consignment processes for pulp and other chemical purchases in SAP.
    - Worked with operations to develop product selection for integration of Starbucks coffee cup
    production, including FDA recycled pulp relationship and spec development.

    Accounts Payable Representative (July 2009 to February 2013)
    Developed an intimate understanding of the procure to pay process and became an asset for the
    procurement group by helping buyers resolve issues and insure timely payment of invoices for five of Pactiv
    Evergreen’s converting facilities across the country.

  • April 2006 to January 2009 – Nationwide Insurance, Asheville, NC
    Licensed Casualty Claims Adjuster
    Responsible for the investigation of liability for auto accidents and resolution of damages to injured claimants in
    a high tension and highly personal environment. Evaluation of medical records to determine the proper value
    of the claim and negotiate to settlement to protect the policy holder from legal exposure.
